I can’t help but be greedy, even though Season 4 (S4) knocked it out of the park all the way around.

But once we got going, I and the ladies at the panel for "Scenes on the Cutting Room Floor" at KazCon, I figured we’d keep going and let it all hang out about our desires and wants and gotta haves for S4 where we felt that Show missed some great opportunities for serious dramatic development. Or maybe we just want what we want and aren’t afraid to speak up about what we’d like more of.

So given that S4 was really, really, REALLY good, here's our wish list.

Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeean!!!

Dean does SO read Greek poetry!

DUDE! I was at Kazcon and I was at that panel! Which person were you? I so totally didn't get to meet everyone and I'm afraid you slipped under my radar. *sigh*

DUDE! I was leading the panel! I was at the front of the room, writing all over the flipchart and getting marker all over my hands! And then I wrote in my notebook. It was while I was planning for the panel that I realized what a nice, potentially funny article it would make. And I got some great notes, and then we ran out of time....

: D

Which panel member were you?

I wasn't on the panel, more of an attendee and DUDE!!!! I TOTALLY REMEMBER YOU NOW!!!!

Did you go by your LJ name or something/one else? The writer/real name thing was a bit of an oddity for me, and my friend as we went together. Newbies to this kinda shindig we are. But, we had a total blast and hope to do it again if there's another.

My LJ name, which I use at ffnet as well, is Jackfan2. Though on my badge, I put that in parentheses and my real name "Julie" next to it.

That panel rocked. I went coz I just figured I'd come out with one or two ideas for a tag or two. Instead, I GOT DOZENS!!!!! I was so busy writing all the fantastic ideas that I didn't talk much, just my brain firing away, silently muttering, 'OH! That's a good one.. and that.. and THAT.. OMG!!!'

LOL.

You know, I thought there was supposed to be a group picture at one point but *shrug* either my roommate and I missed it or it never happened. I had to leave before the auction wrapped up; long drive back to Texas and I had to work the next day, soooooo...

Anywho. :D Cool putting faces with the names we run across in LJ, fandom and fanfic.

CHEERS~!!

There was a group picture on one of the days, late in the day, and there's a KazCon post about Emily uploading that photo and all the pics, all the pics she took at the con, so you might be in one of those. I couldn't figure out how to download them, they come out as .gifs and I can't open them for some reason. Anyway...maybe you'll have better luck.

The name I went by was my other LJ, which is lovesrain44, which is where I do fannish fun stuff, and Sylvia is the "well behaved writer" part of me. : D

And the panel rocked because you guys brought so much to it - it was totally fun to get ideas I hadn't even thought of. Those are the best kind of panels. And yeah, if Wolfpup does another one, I'll totally see you there! (Unless you're going to Wincon? It's in Denver this year.)

Mmmmman I'd LOVE to go but this year's outta the question. The funds just aren't going to support a 2nd con in 2009. I might look for one next year but just too tight, ya know.

I'll look at Wolfpup's journal, see if I can find some pics. Or I'll chat it up with Amanda/Gaelic and see if she can point me in the right direction.

I met so many wonderful folks and I'm glad I at least saw you, if I didn't make the Sylvia Bond connection. You might remember my friend Tammy/aka Rat/aka Maimat. She had really short red hair and drove in from Canada.

I do remember Rat! I loved saying her name over and over! And then, yes, I remember your nametag now, I remember staring at it because I thought it was cool, and whether it had to do with Jack of Torchwood fame, or if there was some other connection.

Definitely ask Emily, as she's the one who uploaded the pics, and the yahoo site for KazCon has the link as well.

I loved the article and you point out several places that I shall consider writing fanfiction for (the only way I can do anything to fix it...)

But I do want to point out that you've got a typo or missing word or something. The first sentence for Yellow Fever reads:

Sam and Dean discover a Colorado small that falls prey to a ghost sickness that induces fear and paranoia.

I've never heard of the Colorado Small before. Is it an animal, vegetable, or mineral? :D

If I had a spare pair of eyeballs for every typo I made...thanks for pointing this one out to me. : D

I'm glad to note, in spite of that, that you were inspired. Good luck with the fics!

Love your icon, by the way!

No problem. I'm just as prone to making them myself.

Your point that Sex and Violence had plenty of violence but was a little short on the sex was a rather good one.

Thanks. It was one of my contributions to my friend group's quote list and I thought it would make a nice icon. Actually, now I want to make it into a button so I can wear it to events.

I just wish I had my own personal editor! That would be worth a lot to me.
But then, observant readers are helpful too. : D

I love the idea of a group quote list...I usually just write down interesting things people say on the back of an old envelope...and then I lose it!

This conversation makes me want to go back and watch Sex and Violence. Heck writing out the article made me want to go back and watch S4 all over again!

I'm holding out for a little while longer so I can watch it in full definition (and with deleted scenes!) instead of the lower quality version I had to watch online (damn schedule).

I'm looking forward to rewatching Colin Ford as wee!Sammy and, well, everything.
