"... I posted on my LJ the letter I sent both to the CW's email comment box (feedback@cwtv.com) and in a slightly different form, to Dawn Ostroff. Folk are welcome to use it as a template if they wish.

The letter supports "Supernatural," expresses dismay at its removal from the schedule after the completion of the first-run episodes, and suggests that the CW consider airing selected episodes from the previous seasons to potentially draw in new viewers who were up to now watching what was on other networks - in effect, providing a "second chance for a first impression." It also encourages the CW to involve the fans by inviting fans to vote on which episodes to air, and to challenge them to submit very brief advertising essays telling people who haven't watched the show before why they should watch the encore episodes.

As far as I know, Supernatural has four more eps that they have ready in the can. The CW is going to show these eps on the 31st of Jan, and then the first three weeks of February. That much is a given. After which, the CW in all it's weird wisdom, plans to play repeats of The Reaper in the SPN timeslot on Thursday nights. Some suggestion has been made that the CW will play repeats of SPN on Tuesday nights.

If if if the writer's strike ends soon enough, filming can resume for SPN this year, and we might get four or so new eps. But that's all up in the air. This is what I've heard. You may have heard different?

Well, I've heard what you have heard... which is that 4 more episodes were completed before the strike- yadda yadda...

This The Reaper repeat idea is idiotic!

I'm with you. I think they only filmed 10 Reaper eps originally, so replaying any eps isn't going to make new fans, if they aren't already so.

And hey! Let your voice be heard! I've got some posts that include the phone number to call and leave a message, or you can email and tell them EXACTLY what you think. The more people who protest the better! (All the posts were in the last week.)

Yes, idiotic is the word to describe this. At least, with the letters and phone calls, the CW knows. If they're paying attention or care is another matter.
