Sammykins, on the other hand, makes a delicious priest, with his hair Brylcreemed down and his deep, green eyes paving the way for all sinners to find redemption. Oh, were I that sinner in need of saving and Sammy himself would come and wrestle for my soul. (Or wrestle me, come to that, though I have a feeling that my girly powers would be no match for the wrath of God in THOSE muscles.) When they arrive at Max’s house, he seems to know instinctively who needs saving and who he can leave to the tender though religiously inept mercies of Brother Dean. His voice takes on the right tone, his expression is sweet, and no one, and I mean but no one at that wake doubts for a minute that Sam is man of the cloth.

I just stumbled upon this review, and boy, did I enjoy it! I need to watch the episode again, like, right now. It had pretty much everything, a monster, hurt/comfort, talk about Dad, and of course gun cleaning (they could make a whole episode just with the boys sitting on a bed, cleaning their guns, and I'd be happy. I'm that weird.). Thank you so much for describing the priest-outtakes! I live in Europe and the UK DVD set of season one doesn't have any extras, so no outtakes for me. Grrr. I'm going to read your other reviews now. And then I'll probably start a season one marathon. :D

I am so sad that you can't view the outttakes on your DVD's! They're mostly silly but a lot of fun, esp the one with the preists. Have you tried the Dean_Sam LJ? They tend to have lots of clips like that. Or ask on that list, post a question to see if someone has it that they can share with you. Yeah, the whole gun thing? You are NOT alone, so never fear. Dean working with his hands is cool, when he works with guns, which he knows like the back of his hands, he's so relaxed and sexy, it's hard to take your eyes off him. Enjoy your marathon and thank you for reading!!

After reading your description of the outtakes yesterday I got a little obsessed (I mean, sleeveless priest outfits!) and finally found the outtakes on youtube. Stupid me, should have thought about youtube before. Anyway, I had a blast watching them!

I found you by mere coincidence. Three or four weeks ago there was a fic posted to one of the wee!chester communitys, I think it was wee_chesters, by lovesrain44. I came back to reread the fic a few days ago because it really made me think, and then randomly clicked on lovesrain44s links and there were your awesome reviews.
